Family Pets When They Are Gone
The loss of a beloved pet can be like losing a family member.
While pets are not your flesh and blood, they are almost always a crucial part of the family. For people who live alone, this can be particularly heartbreaking. Even in the rare case that a pet is not considered part of the family, it is still part of the household. The rituals and the way we interact with pets is a big part of our lives.
Man's Best Friend Companionship and Loyalty
The expression "man's best friend" is no joke. The companionship and loyalty that pets offer us is something that is not replaceable. Many a movie has been made about the struggles that people have with the death of their pet.
Home Pet Burial
Finding the right pet burial plot can be difficult. If there is a pet cemetery available in your area, they are going to likely be more costly than a home pet burial.

What you bury your pet in can vary as well. Burial boxes can be as inexpensive as a cardboard version or as expensive as an elaborate coffin. Whichever option you choose, we will accommodate for.
Thinking About Other Options? Burial vs. Cremation
When your pet dies, what are your options? Basically you have two options. Either you will bury your pet somewhere or you will cremate it. When a cremation is done, there is always the question as to where the remains will go. If you are going to keep the ashes, then you need to arrange for a private cremation where their ashes will not be mixed with that of any other pets.
Pet Cremation
Pet cremation costs different prices depending on the size of the animal. For small animals such as birds or puppies, the cremation will typically cost between $55 and $100.
For cats and small dogs, you can expect to pay between $100 and $150. For larger dogs it typically costs between $150 and $350. An added fee for the owner to view the cremation is sometimes $25.
There are different sizes of urns for the ashes made from different materials. They typically cost $50 to $150 for a classic bronze, brass or enamel vase. Custom made urns can cost as much as $1,000. You can get an engraved nameplate for the urn for about $10 to $25.
Some crematories offer discounts of more than 50% for cremations that are done communally. This means that the pet will be cremated with other animals.
Pet cremation or memorial jewelry is available. You can get a pendant that hangs from a necklace or a ring that can contain some of the pet's ashes. The pricing of these items varies considerably in the same way that regular jewelry does. You can also memorialize your pet with jewelry that does not contain ashes. This all depends on how you wish to display your thoughts and feelings for your pet.
